"Turn and Burn" was my second painting to be featured on the cover of Outdoor Life Magazine to celebrate their wildly popular "The Rut" issue. This canvas print features a white-tailed buck pushing his hot doe from the darkness of a thicket, bursting out into the warm, early morning light of November.

The artwork is beautiful and the scene makes me reminisce about hunts I have had. The packaging was excellent and professional. To date, this is my most expensive piece and I expected the canvas work to be the best I have seen. Perhaps I am expecting too much and this is in the scope of acceptable. Regardless, I prefer the folds tight without gaps in them as one corner has (see image).
I have extensively searched on line for a quality canvas print of a doe and buck. This artist captured the life like expression of the deer with brilliant contrast of the subject / background . I stretched and mounted this canvas print and framed it in a solid walnut frame. It is a very nice addition to our sun room.
I got Turn and Burn for Christmas last year. Absolutely my favorite piece of whitetail art. I remember this Outdoor Life cover. It really reminds me of a November day in the woods of my home state of Virginia. I live in my 4th generation family farmhouse, and this print is proudly displayed on a 224 year old fieldstone wall. It looks fantastic and I admire it everyday.
I got it framed in classic bronze. It arrived in perfect condition and ready to hang.
