A Guide to Displaying Your Ryan Kirby Art Piece
Our partnerships with multiple framers allow us to offer a variety of framing options so your art comes ready to hang in your den, office, cabin, or man cave.
Your purchase is an investment. We use archival quality materials in all of our work. To further preserve your piece, we recommend hanging your art in a prime location with artificial lighting. Avoid hanging art in areas that receive lots of direct sunlight or large temperature fluctuations. Paper prints should be framed under glass or plexiglass.
Original Oil Framing
Ryan chooses the frame for each original to match the color and content of the painting. When possible, Ryan works with the buyer to accommodate their style and taste in framing. These frames are typically larger and heavier than our other frame offerings. As a general rule, the larger the painting, the larger the molding chosen for the frame.
Shipping: Shipping is carefully coordinated, and requires a signature and will carry insurance. When possible, Ryan will deliver the piece at no additional charge.
Canvas Print Framing
Reproduction begins by digitally color correcting and proofing a high-resolution photo of the original oil painting. The color profile is then saved to ensure consistency across all canvas prints. Canvas prints arrive rolled, signed, and in numbered editions.
You will have three options to choose from when purchasing:
Unframed and Rolled
These prints will arrive rolled and in our custom designed triangle tubes, to be taken to a framer to be stretched and gallery wrapped or framed once delivered. These canvases have mirrored edges, compatible with standard sized stretcher bars. There is no frame required for a gallery wrap type of display, as the image wraps around the stretcher bars, all the way to the wall. (Not all framers are familiar with gallery wrapping canvas prints, so make sure the framer you choose is comfortable with this method.)
Gallery Wrapped
Our canvas prints are stretched around 1 ½” deep stretcher bars. We extend the image around the sides so that it appears that the edges are a continuation of the painting. This look is versatile so it can hang anywhere. Gallery Wrapped prints are come with paper backing and sawtooth hanging hardware. You can hang these right out of the box.
Traditional Framing
Our canvas prints are offered in a variety of high-quality moldings to fit your individual style. We frame your canvas print and add kraft paper backing before applying the hanging hardware. Canvas prints are not framed under glass. You can hang these right out of the box.
