Description
I had a small blue canvas panel left over from a color mixing experiment we filmed for my YouTube channel. I thought it would be a great opportunity to use this blue color as the base for a new painting, so I mocked up a pair of cardinals and painted them on top, making very few changes to the background color. I thought the orange, red and bright browns of the cardinal pair would compliment the background. I love taking smaller canvases and experimenting with new techniques or color schemes on them. If they don’t turn out, you just move right on to another one. I feel like this one turned out well though.
