Description
I remember the setting for this one vividly. For some reason, I didn't deer hunt one Sunday afternoon in October to watch NFL football. It was a beautiful day, and as I sat on the couch, I looked outside off our back porch and noticed the leaves were lit up brilliantly by the setting sun. I grabbed my camera and went out to shoot some reference photos. There was an overhanging oak limb that was brilliantly lit up against a darker background and I immediately envisioned a buck in the scene, making a scrape and hitting the licking branch. The beauty of being an artist is that I don’t need the scene to play out perfectly right in front of me – I just need a spark of inspiration and some raw material and I can create the finished product on canvas.
Unframed canvas prints will be rolled up and shipped in our custom shipping triangles. Your local frame shop can handle the stretching and framing of your choice. Our gallery wrapped and framed options will arrive ready to hang on the wall with hanging hardware pre-installed.
