Description
I love this piece. The opening day of dove season is special in the South. It’s a much anticipated Labor Day weekend tradition that marks the beginning of fall, and with it the beginning of another hunting season. I wanted a large dove scene to bring to SEWE, so I came up with this composition of five mourning doves flying over a sunflower field. In fact, this was a second option for the featured painting and was used in many of their marketing materials and day passes. It sold to one of my favorite buyers that we’ve met at this show, and they buy doves from us every year. I’m happy with how this one turned out, and even happier with who it went home with.Ryan Kirby Quality Guarantee
