Description

This trio of pheasants is set against the background of a loosely painted, colorful farm country fencerow. When working on ringnecks, I like to paint their heads in pure, bold colors with firm edges and then loosen up the brushwork in the background. It gives the painting a strong focal point and the expression on their faces is a natural center of interest. Most of the foreground is painted in bold strokes of solid color laid onto the canvas with a palette knife.

Unframed canvas prints will be rolled up and shipped in our custom shipping triangles. Your local frame shop can handle the stretching and framing of your choice. Our gallery wrapped and framed options will arrive ready to hang on the wall with hanging hardware pre-installed.
