This trio of mallards is a commissioned piece for a buyer out of Dallas, TX. He's a passionate duck hunter who's honey hole is actually in Oklahoma. He was looking for a large painting of landing mallards in a background from his favorite hunting spot. After a few brainstorming sessions, we came up with this composition, right down to the center pivot in the distant background. Below you can watch a video of some of this painting in progress.
